이 크지 않은 치앙마이 안에는
꽤나 많은 국제학교 및 사립 학교가 있다.
그 중 치앙마이에 있는 국제학교 리스트와
각 학교별 홈페이지를 정리해 놓았다.
치앙마이 국제학교에 관심을 갖는 많은 학부모들이
참고하기 아주 좋을 듯.
국제학교의 선택기준은 부모마다 다르다.
내가 어떤 기준을 가지고 있느냐에 따라서
학교를 선택할 수 있을 것이다.
치앙마이에 있는 국제학교는 입학의 문은 다양하다.
영어가 잘 안되도 입학이 되는 학교가 있고
영어 수준이 학교의 기준 미달이라고 생각되면
입학이 되지 않는 곳도 많다.
영국식 커리큘럼을 따를지
미국식 커리큘럽을 따를지에 따라
학교를 선택하면 되고
그리고 우리 아이의 영어실력에 따라서
처음에는 입학할 수 있는 학교가 한정되어 있을 수도 있다.
물론, 유치원생이라면 입학의 문이 좀 더 넓을 수는 있지만
적어도 초등이상이라면
나의 아이 영어실력을 평가해 봐야 할 것이다.
물론.. 유치원생도 영어가 안되면 입학이 어려운 곳도 있다.
참고로 치앙마이는 치앙마이 전문으로 하는 유학원도 있다.
그 유학원이 모든 학교를 다 연결해 주는 건 아니기 때문에
어떤 학교와 연결이 되어 있는지 확인하고
연결되지 않은 학교는 개인적으로 알아봐야 할지도 모른다.
가장 정확한 학교 검색 방법은
직접 방문해서 학교의 분위기를 살피고
어떤 프로그램이 있는지 학교 커리큘럼은 어떤지
이 학교가 비지니스를 하는 곳인지 교육을 하는 곳인지.. 등등
내가 확인하는게 가장 좋은 방법이다.
